الى صديق To A Friend
النجمُ شمعتُنا ورائِدنا The star is our candle and pioneer
وحامينا الظلامُ Darkness is our shelter
والاستتارُ عن الجموع from multitudes
بادر........ ... Forward go
فقد سقط القناع The mask has fallen
وذاب من تخشاهُ and whom thou fear has vanished
وانقشعَ الغمامُ Clouds are receding away
عن الربوع from the valleys
لن يُعزَفَ اللحنُ الشجيُ No more merry tunes would be chanted
ولن يَطالَ المجدُ No glory would crown
مهزومٌ جَزوعْ trembling defeatist
الزهرْ....... Flowers
تُذبِلُهُ المواويلُ الحزينةُ wither under the impact of sad songs
والمواقِعُ للمناضِلِ Tournaments exist fro the brave
لا لعشاقِ الخضوعْ not for lovers of submission
خَلَتِ المدائِنُ للوجيعَةِ Suffering prevailed over the towns
من تُعاتِبْ أو تُقاتِلْ Whom to reproach? To fight
أو تُهَشِمْ...... or to smash out
من تماثيلِ الخشوعْ Of the statues of submission
بادر...... ...Forward go
ولا تقبَلْ لهذا النجمِ Accept not trailing down
أن يُطفى this star
ولا أن يترُكَ الأشلاءَ ناقِمْ To let a crazy avenger scattering corpses
في زقاقاتِ الخُنوعْ in the alleys of humiliation
هذا مسارُ الشمسِ This is the route of the sun
لا يُفضي لغيرِ الشمسِ Leading no where except to the sun
والمظلومُ قد يَسعى بظالم An oppressed may attack the oppressor
دونَ حُزْنٍ أو رجوع with no grief or regret
بادِرْ........ ... Forward go
فإن وقفت جميعُ جحافِلِ Even thou the world evil crowds
الدُنيا بوجهكَ...... ... face you
فاكتسحها........ ... Crush it down
لا تَخَفْ...... ... feareth not
لا تصنَعِ الأكفانَ عُشاً Don't make death shrouds a snuggery
والضلالاتِ دروع And misguidance a shield
ثُمَّ بادرْ........ ... Then forward go
لا تَنَمْ........ ... Sleepeth not
كي لا تَعيشَ وأنتَ نائِم So not to live slumbering
مثْلَ وطواطِ الجذوعْ like a tree-trunk bat
